Comprehensive exams are much different than
the "checkup"you might have experienced in
the past. In order to reach a complete
understanding of your present state of
health, we are must gather data about your
muscles, temporomandibular (jaw) joints,
occlusion (bite), and how those three
components work together in your mouth.

Preventive services for Child
and Adult |

Seeing a Hygienist at least twice a year is
recommended for cleaning and checkup. In
addition to regular brushing and flossing,
it is the easiest way to maintain the health
of your teeth, gums and mouth.
Prophylaxis including:
- Exposing and developing radiographs
- Charting pocket depths
- Cleaning and scaling
- Fluorite treatment
- Sealant
- Space maintainer
- Oral hygiene instruction
- Bridges:
- Bridges are vital in protecting
not only the balance of your bite
and chewing motion, but the
integrity of your facial features as
well. A person who leaves missing
teeth unattended may permanently
alter the shape and contour of his
or her face. Bridges easily restore
not only the balance of the mouth,
but typically look and feel as
natural as your own teeth.
- Crowns:
- The affected tooth is reshaped
so that it can be augmented by a
natural-looking synthetic material,
usually porcelain. This procedure is
also beneficial for teeth that show
wear and tear or are crooked.
- Dentures:
- To ensure the most natural and
comfortable result, dentures must be
custom fit to an individual's mouth
and gums. Dentures that are
correctly developed and fitted will
restore a natural looking and secure
bite and smile.
- Implants:
- Implants utilize a titanium or
ceramic "root" positioned within the
jawbone, to which an artificial
tooth or crown is attached. Implants
usually look and feel most like
natural teeth of any replacement
procedure.
- Cosmetic Fillings:
- There are different composite
filling materials to choose from and
you and your dentist should decide
which one best suits your needs.
Early detection of cavities is the
best way to treat them, as many can
be filled without the need of
drilling or needles
- Whitening (gel solution):
- We will make a tray to custom
fit your teeth, to which a safe
whitening agent is applied. The
trays are worn anywhere from 30
minutes a day to overnight,
depending on the solution you and
your dentist find most suitable.
Most patients notice results within
a few applications.
- Veneers:
- This effective cosmetic
procedure involves bonding a thin
layer of porcelain to the prepared
tooth surface. Veneers can make
teeth look whiter, straighter and
more evenly spaced, often in only
two sessions. Most commonly used to
fix cracked teeth and fill in the
gap between the two front teeth.
- Bonding:
- A composite resin, the color of
tooth enamel, can be used to repair
fissures or chips and get rid of or
diminish gaps. It is also be used to
fill cavities while maintaining a
more natural look than traditional
fillings. Bonding is not usually as
permanent as porcelain veneers.

Dental implants |
| Dental implants are
designed to provide a foundation for
replacement teeth which look, feel, and
function like natural teeth. The person who
has lost teeth regains the ability to eat
virtually anything and can smile with
confidence, knowing that teeth appear
natural and that facial contours will be
preserved. |

Braces |
| Who says braces are
just for kids? The number of adults choosing
orthodontics is on the rise. In fact, today
one out of every four orthodontic patients
is an adult. Contrary to popular belief,
wearing braces will not interfere with an
adult lifestyle. Patients can make business
presentations, sing, play a musical
instrument, dine out, and of course, kiss!
If you've been considering orthodontics for
yourself, let us know and we will gladly
discuss your options with you. |
